The Federated States of Micronesia Tokyo Seminar 2025 Successfully Held
On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) Captive Insurance Seminar (hosted by the FSM Captive Insurance Association) and the IMC Seminar (hosted by MRA Advisors) were held at Kioi Conference Center in Kioicho, Tokyo.

At the FSM Captive Insurance Seminar, members of the FSM Insurance Board delivered a presentation titled “An Introduction to Captive Insurance in the FSM,” providing an overview of the captive insurance framework in the Federated States of Micronesia.
In addition, Professor Noriyoshi Yanase of the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Keio University, gave a keynote lecture entitled “Future Outlook and Key Challenges in Japanese Corporate Risk Management.”
At IMC Seminar, Ms. Josephine Joseph-Silem, Assistant Attorney General and Chief of Law of the FSM Department of Justice, delivered a presentation titled “Introduction to the Federated States of Micronesia.”She introduced the role of the FSM Department of Justice and provided an explanation of corporate registration in the Federated States of Micronesia. The presentation was supported by interpretation provided by Ms. Akiko Tsuno.
During the seminars, participants actively engaged with the speakers through a lively question-and-answer session, demonstrating a high level of interest in the topics discussed. The reception party that followed was also well attended and filled with enthusiastic networking and discussion.
